Early Intervention SIG

The Early Intervention Special Interest Group (EI-SIG) was formally established at CSM, 2007. The purpose of the SIG is to provide an arena where Section and Association members who have a common interest in providing effective physical therapy services for children with disabilities in early intervention may confer, meet, and promote high standards of practice.

The primary role of regional representatives for the EISIG is to provide opportunities for improved communication from members and to enhance direct participation of members in SIG development and activities. Regional representatives are appointed by the Vice-President of the EI SIG. Members within the representative's region are encouraged to contact these representatives to advocate for as well as bring forth concerns regarding EI PT to SIG leadership and to access regional network for information sharing and educational programming of interest for Early Intervention Physical Therapy. Regional representatives have the opportunity to serve in leadership roles at activities/events sponsored by the EI SIG.
