Thesis & Dissertation Award

The Thesis Award is given as recognition to an active or student member of the Section on Pediatrics who has completed an outstanding research project as partial fulfillment for a master's degree. The Dissertation Award is given as recognition to an active or student member of the Section on Pediatrics who has completed an outstanding research project as partial fulfillment for a post-professional doctoral degree.
Submit the following electronically, by e-mail or by mailing a disk:
- A cover letter
- A copy of the abstract containing identifying information.
- A copy of the study abstract with all identifying information deleted (do not just change the font color).
- Evidence that the thesis or dissertation was completed within the past 2 years
- A discussion of the relevance of the research to the practice of physical therapy
After screening, an electronic copy of the thesis or dissertation may be requested for review by the Research Committee. Submit abstracts to the Executive Office by November 1. The thesis and dissertation awards are presented to the recipients at the Section's Awards Reception during the Combined Sections Meeting.
Address any questions concerning the application guidelines for the Research, Thesis, or Dissertation Awards to the Chair of the Research Committee.
